After our stay in Anne’s camp at Suyian Soul we spent the days before and after New Year's Day at Corinna's and Siva's house [0° 15.3' N 37° 58.1' E], taking many walks. During this period we went several times to the Mpala Research Centre. [0° 17.7' N 37° 53.9' E]. Particularly memorable were the sundowners on New Year’s Day at the rocky outcropping overlooking Baculi Dam.

Leila & Arkas also appreciated the view…
Finally, dusk came and the moon rose over Mt. Kenya.
The highlight of our last few days in Kenya was a shopping trip to the charming town of Nanyuki [0° 1' N 37° 4' E]. Nanyuki is the nearest town to the kids’ house—only a 45 minute drive.
On Thursday January 6 we went back to Nairobi for our late night flight back to our home in Washington, DC. What a grand trip we had!
