Wednesday May 24 to Sunday 28, 2017

Alice and I left Washington, D.C. and arrived in Athens but instead of going as usual to Leros we boarded a later flight to Myconos to attend a family wedding.

On Sunday we flew back to Athens and stayed overnight.

Monday 29, 2017

On Monday morning we flew to Leros. Thetis was waiting for and looked very good. We rented a car, we installed ourselves, and organized the inside of the recently cleaned cabins and prepared for tomorrow’s launch.

We went provision shopping. On the way we filled all 4 jerry cans with Diesel fuel and the two small canisters for gasoline for the genset and outboard. Then we drove to Lakki and went to the Limerarchio (Coast Guard) and got the required apoplous (απόπλους - permission to sail) stamp.

For dinner we walked to the nearby Archontiko, the little taverna across from the airport.
